Terms of Use

Agreement to terms

TaskKast by KindKine is operated by Kind Kine LLC. By downloading, accessing, subscribing to, or using TaskKast, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

App purpose

TaskKast is a productivity and organization app for managing tasks, events, notes, projects, reminders, repeat schedules, countdowns, calendar views, and personal app settings. TaskKast is provided as a planning tool and does not guarantee completion of tasks, delivery of reminders, calendar accuracy, data recovery, or uninterrupted service.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the tasks, events, notes, reminders, locations, project details, calendar choices, guest invitations, and other information you create, save, import, export, or share through TaskKast. You are also responsible for reviewing important dates, deadlines, reminders, calendar entries, and exported data independently, and for the accuracy and permission to use any guest email addresses or shared details you enter.

Permissions and device services

TaskKast asks only for the permissions its features need: calendars, notifications, Face ID for app lock, and the microphone together with speech recognition for talk-to-text dictation. TaskKast uses microphone access when you activate speech-to-text dictation, and your dictated speech is converted into text. It does not request camera or photo-library access, and does not offer photo or file attachments or drawing notes. You can change any permission at any time in the iOS Settings app; features that depend on a permission you decline will not work.

Calendar, iCloud, maps, and third-party services

TaskKast may rely on Apple iCloud, Apple Calendar, Apple Maps, notifications, device storage, Google Calendar, Zoom, ClickUp, and other services selected by you or available on your device. These services are controlled by Apple, your device settings, your Apple ID, and any third-party provider you connect. Kind Kine LLC is not responsible for outages, syncing delays, permission changes, map results, calendar provider errors, or data handling by those services.

ClickUp sync

TaskKast offers an optional integration that lets you connect a ClickUp account and sync tasks between ClickUp and TaskKast. ClickUp remains your project management system; TaskKast is a streamlined daily planner that mirrors a task’s title, due date, completion status, notes, and subtasks — TaskKast subtasks are represented as a checklist on the corresponding ClickUp task. ClickUp calendars, comments, attachments, priority, time tracking, and Space/Folder structure are not part of this sync and are not recreated in TaskKast. You choose which ClickUp Workspace and Lists to sync; after that, syncing happens automatically in the background at intervals TaskKast determines, in addition to a manual Sync Now control. Editing, completing, or deleting a synced task or subtask in either app is intended to update the other the next time a sync runs; if a task changes in both apps before a sync, TaskKast will ask you which version to keep instead of overwriting either one automatically, while a subtask changed on both sides simply keeps the TaskKast version. A task created directly in TaskKast, inside a Project mapped to a List, is created as a new task in ClickUp the next time a sync runs. When you delete a Project, TaskKast asks whether to remove it from TaskKast only, or also to delete the ClickUp tasks and subtasks it had synced; the ClickUp List itself is never deleted.

This integration depends on ClickUp’s service, API, and infrastructure, on your ClickUp account permissions and settings, and on your device’s connection to the internet, none of which Kind Kine LLC controls. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaskKast, Kind Kine LLC, its owner, team, affiliates, contractors, and service providers hold no responsibility and are not liable for ClickUp’s availability, accuracy, security, or behavior; for actions ClickUp’s system takes on your account; for sync delays, sync failures, missed syncs, or incorrect syncs; or for data that is created, changed, or deleted through this integration, whether that data lives in TaskKast, in ClickUp, or in transit between them. Your use of ClickUp is governed separately by ClickUp’s own terms and privacy policy, and you are responsible for your ClickUp account and its permissions. You can disconnect ClickUp at any time in Settings; your existing TaskKast tasks are not deleted when you disconnect.

Google Calendar sync

TaskKast offers an optional integration that lets you connect a Google account to two-way sync the Google calendars you select. When connected, TaskKast reads events from the calendars you choose so they appear in TaskKast, and creates, updates, or deletes events on your Google Calendar — including inviting the guests you add — when you make those changes in TaskKast. Changes made in Google Calendar are reflected in TaskKast on the next sync, and changes made in TaskKast are sent to Google Calendar. Google Calendar remains the source of truth for its own events: TaskKast keeps a working range of approximately the past year through the next two years rather than a permanent duplicate of your full calendar history, while details you add in TaskKast — project, priority, reminders, subtasks, or Zoom information — are retained by TaskKast because Google does not store them. This integration depends on Google’s service, API, and infrastructure, on your Google account permissions and settings, and on your device’s connection to the internet, none of which Kind Kine LLC controls. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaskKast, Kind Kine LLC, its owner, team, affiliates, contractors, and service providers hold no responsibility and are not liable for Google’s availability, accuracy, security, or behavior; for actions Google’s system takes on your account; for events that fail to create, update, sync, or delete correctly; for duplicated or missing events; or for guest invitations that are delayed, undelivered, or not sent. Your use of Google Calendar is governed separately by Google’s own terms and privacy policy, and you are responsible for your Google account and its permissions. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time in Settings; events already created on your Google Calendar are not automatically deleted when you disconnect. TaskKast’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Zoom sync

TaskKast offers an optional integration that lets you connect a Zoom account so you can attach a Zoom meeting to a TaskKast event and register the guests you add as meeting participants, so Zoom emails them a join link. This integration depends on Zoom’s service, API, and infrastructure, on your Zoom account permissions and settings, and on your device’s connection to the internet, none of which Kind Kine LLC controls. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaskKast, Kind Kine LLC, its owner, team, affiliates, contractors, and service providers hold no responsibility and are not liable for Zoom’s availability, accuracy, security, or behavior; for actions Zoom’s system takes on your account; for meetings that fail to create, update, or register guests correctly; or for invite emails that are delayed, undelivered, or not sent. Your use of Zoom is governed separately by Zoom’s own terms and privacy policy, and you are responsible for your Zoom account and its permissions. You can disconnect Zoom at any time in Settings; deleting an event with an attached Zoom meeting in TaskKast attempts to also delete the meeting from your Zoom account, but this is not guaranteed, and meetings created before you disconnect are not automatically deleted by disconnecting alone.

Backups, exports, and data loss

TaskKast may offer device storage, iCloud sync, and export and import options, but no backup, export, import, sync, restore, storage, or recovery method is guaranteed. You are responsible for keeping important backup copies, protecting exported files, and maintaining access to the device, Apple ID, iCloud account, or connected accounts used with the app. Kind Kine LLC is not responsible for lost, deleted, corrupted, inaccessible, or unrecoverable data.

Face ID and biometrics

Face ID unlock relies on your device and iOS security settings, such as Face ID or Touch ID. TaskKast does not collect, store, or access biometric data. This feature is intended to add convenience and device-level privacy, and it does not replace your responsibility to secure your device, Apple ID, passcode, backups, and exported files.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse TaskKast, disrupt or interfere with the app or its backend, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer protected portions of the app, remove proprietary notices, upload unlawful or harmful content, send invitations or content to people without permission, or use TaskKast for unlawful, abusive, or unauthorized purposes.

Ownership

TaskKast, including its design, interface, branding, organization, graphics, icons, app name, and related materials, is owned by Kind Kine LLC or its licensors. You may use the app for your own personal or business productivity, but you do not receive ownership of the app or its intellectual property.

Your content

You keep responsibility for the content you add to TaskKast. By adding content to the app, you confirm that you have the right to store and use that content and that it does not violate applicable law or the rights of others.

Paid subscription

TaskKast is offered as a one-year auto-renewable subscription (product identifier com.kindkine.taskkast.annual), sold and billed by Apple through the App Store and charged upfront for the year. Apple displays the price that applies in your region, in your local currency, before you complete the purchase. If a free trial or introductory offer is available to you, Apple determines your eligibility and the app displays its length and terms on the subscription screen before you confirm. When a trial ends, the annual subscription begins automatically and your Apple Account is charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges the renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. You manage and cancel the subscription through your Apple ID — in the iOS Settings app under your Apple ID → Subscriptions, or at Apple’s Manage Subscriptions page — not inside TaskKast, and not by contacting Kind Kine LLC. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access for the remainder of the period you have already paid for.

If you reinstall TaskKast or move to another device, use Restore Purchases in Settings to re-associate your existing subscription. Entitlement follows your Apple ID.

An active subscription is required to use TaskKast. If your subscription has lapsed, TaskKast can still display the data already stored on your device while the device is offline, in view-only form; adding, editing, and syncing require an active subscription and a connection.

Payments, refunds and billing disputes are handled by Apple under the terms of the App Store. Kind Kine LLC does not receive or store your payment card or billing details. Deleting your TaskKast data does not cancel your subscription, and canceling your subscription does not delete your data.

No professional advice

TaskKast does not provide legal, medical, financial, business, tax, accounting, or professional advice. Any information you add, organize, or rely on in the app is your responsibility.

No warranties

TaskKast is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kind Kine LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaskKast, Kind Kine LLC, its owner, team, affiliates, contractors, and service providers are not liable for missed reminders, missed deadlines, calendar errors, sync delays, lost data, deleted data, corrupted data, duplicated data, inaccessible data, unrecoverable data, failed backups, failed exports or imports, device issues, service interruptions, user error, business loss, personal loss, lost profits, or any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages related to use of the app, including damages arising from the ClickUp, Google Calendar, or Zoom integrations described above.

Updates and changes

Kind Kine LLC may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these Terms of Use. Continued use of TaskKast after updates means you accept the updated terms.

Termination

You may stop using TaskKast at any time. Kind Kine LLC may limit or discontinue access to the app if required by law, App Store requirements, security needs, or misuse of the app.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. TaskKast is operated by Kind Kine LLC, a limited liability company organized in Hawaii.
