Overview
TaskKast by KindKine is an iOS productivity app operated by Kind Kine LLC, a limited liability company organized in Hawaii, United States. TaskKast helps you organize personal and business tasks, calendars, events, notes, projects, reminders, repeat schedules, countdowns, and app preferences. This Privacy Policy explains what information TaskKast uses, how it is handled, with whom it is shared, and the choices you have. It includes specific disclosures about Google user data required by the Google API Services User Data Policy.
Information you create in TaskKast
TaskKast may store the information you choose to add to the app, including task titles, dates, completion status, subtasks, notes, note type, countdown information, event titles, event dates and times, locations or addresses, project names, reminder settings, repeat settings, calendar selections, app settings, and, if you connect ClickUp, the ClickUp task, checklist, checklist item, List, and Workspace identifiers used to keep a task and its subtasks in sync. If you connect a Google account and choose to sync a Google calendar, events read from that calendar are stored in TaskKast so they appear alongside your other items. Google Calendar remains the source of truth for those events: TaskKast keeps a working range of roughly the past year through the next two years rather than a permanent copy of your full calendar history. Details you add in TaskKast on top of a Google event — project, priority, reminders, subtasks, or Zoom information — are stored by TaskKast because Google does not hold them.
How your information is used
Your information is used to provide the features of the app, including displaying day and week views, organizing tasks and notes by project, creating and syncing events, saving reminders, showing repeat schedules, remembering preferences, supporting search, and creating exports when you choose to do so.
Local storage, iCloud sync, and backup
TaskKast is designed to keep your information under your control. App data is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your TaskKast data — which can include events imported from the Google calendars you chose to sync — is stored in the private iCloud database (CloudKit) associated with the Apple ID signed into your device, so it can stay consistent across your devices. If your device is set to back up to iCloud, TaskKast data may also be included in that backup. TaskKast is designed so that syncing never discards content that exists only on your device; if a copy cannot be applied, your device’s data is left as it is. iCloud sync and backup are provided by Apple and controlled by your device settings and Apple ID. You can turn iCloud sync off in TaskKast Settings.
Calendar access on your device
If you grant calendar access, TaskKast uses that iOS permission to show, create, edit, or save events in the on-device calendars you select (for example iCloud or other accounts configured on your iPhone). This device calendar access is used only to provide calendar features in the app. You can manage calendar permission through iOS Settings. This is separate from the Google Calendar integration described below, which connects to your Google account directly.
Google Calendar integration and Google user data
If you choose to connect a Google account, TaskKast uses Google Sign-In and the Google Calendar API to sync the Google calendars you select. TaskKast requests only the narrowest Google permissions (scopes) needed for the features you enable:
See and edit events on Google calendars you own or can access (calendar.events): used for two-way calendar sync — reading events from the calendars you choose so they appear in TaskKast, and creating, updating, or deleting events (and inviting the guest email addresses you enter) when you make those changes in TaskKast.
See the list of calendars on your Google account (calendar.calendarlist.readonly): used only to show your Google calendars in TaskKast Settings so you can choose which ones to sync.
See your primary Google Account email address (userinfo.email): used only to display which account is connected in Settings (for example, “Connected as you@email.com”).
TaskKast reads only the calendars you select, and only your calendar list and event data. It does not access Gmail, Google Contacts, Google Drive, Google Photos, or other Google data. Your Google account password is never seen or stored by TaskKast. A Google access token and refresh token are stored, encrypted with AES-256-GCM, on Kind Kine LLC’s backend server solely to make the calendar requests you initiate, and your connected Google email is stored there only to display it in Settings. TaskKast’s backend does not store the content of your Google Calendar events — event data passes through the server only momentarily while a sync, create, edit, or delete you requested is carried out, and is not retained on the server afterward. Events you choose to sync are stored on your device and, if iCloud sync or backup is enabled, in your private iCloud as described above.
How TaskKast shares, transfers, and discloses your data (including Google user data)
TaskKast does not sell your personal information or Google user data, and does not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties. TaskKast shares, transfers, or discloses data only in these limited ways:
With Google: to carry out the calendar actions you initiate — reading the calendars and events you select, and creating, updating, or deleting the events you choose — through Google’s own APIs.
With Apple: when you enable iCloud sync or iCloud backup, your TaskKast data (which can include events imported from Google calendars you chose to sync) is stored in the private iCloud/CloudKit database tied to your Apple ID. Apple also processes your subscription purchase through the App Store. These services are governed by Apple’s terms and your device settings.
With Kind Kine LLC’s hosting and infrastructure provider (IONOS): IONOS operates the servers that run TaskKast’s backend. The backend stores your encrypted Google, Zoom, and ClickUp tokens and your connected account email, and momentarily processes — without retaining — the data needed to complete a sync or integration request you made.
With recipients you direct: when you add guest email addresses to an event, those addresses are sent to Google (and to Zoom, if you attach a Zoom meeting) so the invitation you asked to send can be delivered.
When legally required or to protect rights and safety: TaskKast may disclose data if reasonably necessary to comply with a valid legal request or applicable law, or to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of users, the public, or Kind Kine LLC.
In a business transfer: if Kind Kine LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, data may be transferred as part of that transaction, and any recipient would remain bound to honor the commitments in this Privacy Policy for the affected data.
TaskKast’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. TaskKast uses Google user data only to provide and improve the calendar features you enable, does not use it for advertising, does not sell it, and does not allow humans to read it except with your consent, where necessary for security or to debug a problem, to comply with applicable law, or in an aggregated or anonymized form.
Zoom integration
If you choose to connect a Zoom account, TaskKast uses Zoom’s sign-in and Zoom’s Meetings API to create and update a Zoom meeting on your behalf when you attach one to an event, and to register the guest email addresses you enter as meeting participants so Zoom can email them a join link. TaskKast only requests the Zoom scopes needed to create, update, delete, and register guests on the meetings you choose to create — it does not read your existing Zoom meetings, recordings, contacts, or other Zoom account data. Your Zoom account credentials are never stored by TaskKast; a secure access token is stored, encrypted, on Kind Kine LLC’s servers solely to make the meeting requests you initiate. You can disconnect your Zoom account at any time in TaskKast Settings, which revokes TaskKast’s access and deletes the stored Zoom token.
Your Zoom connection is associated with your TaskKast subscription rather than with one particular device, so if you use TaskKast on more than one device under the same Apple subscription, the same connected Zoom account is available on each of them, and disconnecting it on one disconnects it everywhere.
ClickUp integration
If you choose to connect a ClickUp account, TaskKast uses ClickUp’s own sign-in process so you can sync tasks between ClickUp and TaskKast, including tasks created in either app. Your ClickUp access token is stored encrypted on a server operated by Kind Kine LLC solely to make the sync requests you initiate to ClickUp on your behalf. TaskKast’s server does not keep a copy of your ClickUp tasks, projects, or other content — that information passes through only at the moment of each sync and is not retained afterward. You can disconnect ClickUp at any time in Settings, which removes the stored access token. Your use of ClickUp is governed by ClickUp’s own privacy policy and terms.
Subscriptions and purchases
TaskKast is offered through an auto-renewable subscription billed by Apple through the App Store. Purchases, billing, and renewals are handled by Apple; TaskKast does not receive or store your payment card or full billing details. To verify and maintain your subscription, Kind Kine LLC’s backend stores subscription records from Apple, such as the Apple transaction identifier, product identifier, environment, status, and expiration, together with an app-specific device identifier. This is used only to confirm your access to paid features and to keep it in sync across your devices when you use Restore Purchases.
Reminders and notifications
If you enable reminders or notifications, TaskKast uses notification permission to send alerts for tasks, events, notes, and countdowns based on the settings you choose. Notification delivery depends on your device, iOS settings, connected Apple Watch behavior, and Apple notification services.
Microphone and dictation
Text notes include a talk-to-text button. Microphone access is used only for speech-to-text dictation, and only while you are dictating. TaskKast does not store audio recordings. TaskKast does not request access to your camera or photo library, and the app does not offer photo or file attachments or drawing notes.
Locations and maps
TaskKast may allow you to enter a location or address for an event. Once you pick an address, the app uses it to show a map preview, and tapping that preview opens Apple Maps for directions and place details. TaskKast does not track your location in the background and does not need continuous location access for this feature.
Search, export, and import
Searching your tasks, events, notes, projects, countdowns and related details runs on your device, against the content held on that device and in your private iCloud. What you type into search is not sent to TaskKast’s server. The one exception is when you have connected Google Calendar: to find events older than the range TaskKast keeps on the device, your search text is passed through to Google so Google can return matching events from your own calendar. TaskKast lets you export your data (for example as a CSV file or a backup file) and import a backup you previously created. Exported and backup files contain the information you added to TaskKast and are created on and handled by your own device and any location you choose to save or share them to. You are responsible for storing and sharing exported and backup files safely.
Support emails
If you contact support, Kind Kine LLC may receive your email address and the information you choose to include in your message, such as feedback, screenshots, app version, device details, or troubleshooting notes. Support information is used to respond to your request and improve the app.
Analytics, ads, tracking, and sale of data
TaskKast does not use third-party analytics, does not show third-party ads, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not sell your personal information or Google user data.
What TaskKast’s server stores, and for how long
Your productivity content — tasks, events, notes, projects, countdowns and their details — is stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud Sync, in your private iCloud. TaskKast’s server does not store that content. What the server does hold is limited to the records the app needs in order to work:
Integration records: if you connect Google Calendar, ClickUp or Zoom, the encrypted access and refresh tokens for that service and the account email address it reports, so TaskKast can carry out the syncs you ask for and show you which account is connected.
Subscription records: the identifiers Apple provides for your subscription — its original transaction identifier, product identifier, environment, status and expiry — together with an app-specific device identifier, used to confirm your access and to support Restore Purchases.
Security records: this app installation’s device registration, issued app sessions, and short-lived sign-in states and challenges. A security event log records failures and suspicious activity using a truncated device identifier, never a full one and never your content.
How long: short-lived security records (sign-in states, challenges and one-time exchange codes) expire within minutes and are then deleted. Ended or revoked app sessions are removed after a short grace period. The security event log is kept for 90 days, and duplicate-delivery records for Apple’s subscription notifications for 60 days. Integration records are kept while the connection is active. Subscription records are kept while your entitlement may still be restored or disputed, and thereafter only as long as accounting, fraud-prevention, support and legal obligations require.
Disconnecting one service: when you disconnect Google, ClickUp or Zoom in Settings > Connections, TaskKast immediately deletes its own stored connection record for that service from its server, including the credentials and the account email address. That is TaskKast’s copy of the connection. The authorization you granted on the provider’s side is a separate thing, and what happens to it depends on the provider.
Provider-side revocation: for Google and Zoom, TaskKast also asks the provider to revoke its access. If that request fails, TaskKast’s own record is still deleted, but the provider may continue to list TaskKast until you remove it in that account’s authorized-apps settings. For ClickUp there is no such request available — ClickUp does not publish a revocation endpoint — so TaskKast can only delete its local connection record, and you must remove TaskKast in your ClickUp account’s authorized apps or integrations settings to withdraw the authorization there.
Asking us to delete your server records: this is broader than disconnecting, and is not required in order to disconnect a single service. In TaskKast, open Settings > Security & Backup and use Request Server Data Deletion under Server Data. That creates a reference number which identifies your device to us without revealing your information. Confirm it in the app and email it to info@taskkast.kindkine.com, and we will remove all of this device’s remaining records: its integration records, its app sessions and its device security registration. Provider-side revocation is attempted and behaves exactly as described above. We keep the minimum subscription record described above, with its link to your device removed. You can cancel a request at any time before we action it. If you can no longer open the app — for example you have deleted it — email info@taskkast.kindkine.com and we will help you identify the right records to remove.
Neither option touches your content: your tasks, events, notes, projects and countdowns are never part of these server records. They stay on your device and in your private iCloud, and neither disconnecting nor a deletion request removes them or cancels your Apple subscription.
Backups: TaskKast’s server stores only the limited operational records described above — it does not store your tasks, events, notes, projects or countdowns, so those are never part of a server backup. The server and its database are protected by encrypted, off-site disaster-recovery backups. Backups run daily and keep up to 30 recovery points, roughly 30 days. Records removed from the live service at your request may remain inside those encrypted recovery points until the points expire and are overwritten. If a backup is ever restored, completed deletion requests are re-applied before normal service resumes, as required by our retention-and-rollback procedure. Access to backups is restricted to authorized administration. Content held on your device and in your private iCloud is not part of the server backup. Server and web logs are rotated on a short cycle, currently 14 days.
What we cannot delete: Apple holds its own record of your subscription purchases; that history belongs to Apple and is not deleted by TaskKast. Deleting your TaskKast data does not cancel your subscription, and canceling your subscription does not delete your data. Content on your device or in your iCloud is under your control — delete items in the app, delete the app, and manage the iCloud copy through your Apple ID settings.
Third-party services
Some features rely on services controlled by Apple or another provider you choose to use, such as iCloud, the App Store, device Calendar, notifications, maps, Google Calendar, Zoom, or ClickUp. Your use of those services is also governed by the privacy policies and settings of those providers.
Your choices
You can change app permissions through iOS Settings. You can also choose which calendars appear in TaskKast, whether reminders are enabled, whether iCloud sync is used, whether notifications are allowed, whether ClickUp is connected, whether Google Calendar is connected, whether Zoom is connected, and whether to export, import, or delete information from the app. You can disconnect any integration at any time in Settings.
Children
TaskKast is not intended for children under 13. Kind Kine LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
TaskKast uses reasonable measures to protect data, including encrypting integration tokens at rest on its backend and transmitting data over encrypted connections. When Face ID is enabled, TaskKast relies on security features provided by your device and iOS, such as Face ID or Touch ID; biometric data is handled by the device and is not collected, stored, or accessed by TaskKast. No app, device, sync service, or backup system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Data responsibility
You are responsible for the information you add to TaskKast and for maintaining access to the device, Apple ID, iCloud account, calendar account, ClickUp account, Zoom account, backup files, and export files used with the app. This includes information synced through optional integrations such as ClickUp, Google Calendar, and Zoom. Kind Kine LLC is not responsible for lost, deleted, corrupted, inaccessible, unrecoverable, or incorrectly synced data, whether that data lives in TaskKast, in ClickUp, in Google Calendar, in Zoom, in iCloud, or in any other connected service.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Kind Kine LLC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If the app’s privacy practices change, we will update this policy and the applicable App Store privacy information as needed. Continued use of TaskKast after updates means you accept the updated policy.
